Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position with oncology experience and a valid NJ or compact license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a general pediatrics unit with hem/onc, ortho, and surgical patients
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Required to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
• May float to PICU and NICU based on assignment and skills
• Additional float units possible as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Block or special scheduling requests must be approved at the time of booking
• Navy scrubs are required
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• A thorough background check is required and candidates with active background or license issues will not be accepted

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NJ or Compact RN license must be in hand
• Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience required
• Chemotherapy/Oncology nursing experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON, NRP, and OCN certifications preferred
• Must have experience with general pediatrics
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Returning employees must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for at least one year
