Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with at least 3 years of prior ICU experience and an active AZ or compact RN license for a rural hospital setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is based in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital
• Provides nursing care to critically ill patients in a 5-bed ICU
• All shifts available
• May float to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds during low census periods
• Cares for individuals of all ages including post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients after hours
• Position requires independent nursing care and strong clinical judgment in a rural setting
• Shared contractor housing may be available but is not guaranteed; housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start
• No pets or family are allowed in provided housing
• Team includes diverse providers and support staff
• Orientation is provided every two weeks
• Culturally diverse community environment
• Must be comfortable working in a remote, rural healthcare setting

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active AZ or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum of 3 years prior ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (may be obtained within 6 months of hire), NIHSS (within 6 months), and TCAR (within 6 months)
• Must complete facility-specific fingerprinting prior to start
• COVID and flu vaccination required unless exemption form is accepted
