As a Security Officer - Armed Correctional Facility - Morning Shift in Raleigh, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and/or violations of site policies.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific guidelines related to armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
