Job Description

Position Overview: Oracle database admin w/19c, including Oracle data guard and backup/restore experience- GoldenGate- Oracle TDE- Linux admin- Shell scripting language & automation skill- Oracle Key vault- Solid communication skills Essential Skills:

  • 6+ years' experience supporting database systems-Solid understanding of SQL best practices. Strong database maintenance capabilities, including with enterprise database systems.
  • Experience with database administration in cloud environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of database and query tuning techniques.
  • Excellent technical diagnostic abilities including database failure investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills are a must.
  • ttention to detail, diligence, and punctuality in order to accurately document database status
  • Good communication skills.
Must Have:
  • Oracle Database (19c) Administration: Extensive experience with Oracle 19c, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Oracle Data Guard: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard for database high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Backup/Restore Expertise: Proficient in backup and restore strategies for Oracle databases, including disaster recovery planning.
  • GoldenGate: Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration.
  • Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE): Knowledge and hands-on experience in securing sensitive data using Oracle TDE.
  • Linux Administration: Strong experience in managing Oracle databases on Linux systems.
  • Shell Scripting & Automation: Ability to automate tasks using Shell scripting or other scripting languages.
  • Oracle Key Vault: Experience with Oracle Key Vault for managing encryption keys and credentials securely.
  • Cloud Database Administration: Familiarity with managing databases in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud, or Azure).
  • Database Tuning and Optimization: In-depth knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and overall database health.
  • SQL Best Practices: Deep understanding and implementation of SQL best practices for efficient query design.
