UX/UI Contract Designer (In-Office/Remote Hybrid)

Location: Belleville, MI

Contract Duration: 3 months with option to extend up to 2 times (total of 9 months)

Hourly Rate: $40/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)

About the Opportunity:

• Seeking a skilled UX/UI Contract Designer for a hybrid in-office/remote position

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in creative problem-solving
• Knowledge of UX and UI principles
• Proficiency in Figma (or similar tool)
• Understanding of user testing methods (plus)
• Coding or 3D modeling skills (huge plus)
• Automotive industry experience (nice to have, not required)

Job Responsibilities:

Next-Generation CID GUI Drawing Production (40%)

• Learn and use dedicated GUI design and UX tools
• Collaborate with designers on GUI material creation
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for:
• Infotainment systems, Telematics, Cluster-meter
• Other input devices related to user experience

CID GUI Screen Transition Diagram Production (20%)

• Create interactive, animated screens to test transitions and usability
• Use prototyping tools to present and iterate GUI designs with stakeholders

UX Design Trend Research (20%)

• Explore trends in IVI and market research from a future-oriented perspective
• Analyze data and produce reports to inform design direction
• Coordinate research programs and competitive intelligence gathering
• Provide strategic insights based on strengths, weaknesses, and competitor analysis
• Understand and simulate how users will interact with future technology

GUI Tool Skill Improvement (10%)

• Research new design tools and capabilities
• Participate in training and skill-building sessions

Requirements:

• Degree in Design or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years)
• Experience with collaborative tools like Figma
• Strong design and problem-solving skills

Work Arrangement:

• In-office/remote hybrid schedule
• Initial 90 days fully onsite
• After 90 days: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (remote on Wednesdays and Fridays)

Screening Process:

• 7-year criminal background check
• 5-panel drug screen administered by iCreatives

Additional Info:

• This is a contract onsite position in Belleville, MI
• Remote work is not available during the first 90 days
• A hybrid model is possible afterward

This is a contract onsite position in the Belleville, MI area. Remote work is not an option for this opportunity. The Potential Hybrid work model is available after 90 days of onsite work is completed.
