Clearance: Active Top-Secret (TS)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, strategy, and implementation of cloud-based solutions supporting security operations. This role requires deep expertise in cloud technologies, systems integration, and enterprise-scale architecture. The ideal candidate will translate complex business and mission needs into scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions using modern platforms and automation tools.
As the highest-level technical expert, the Cloud Solutions Architect provides strategic direction, evaluates emerging technologies, and guides large development teams to deliver mission-critical cloud capabilities aligned with FBI objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for cloud adoption and modernization across FBI systems and services.
  • Translate business and mission requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architecture solutions.
  • Lead the design and integration of cloud platforms with existing on-premises systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Evaluate and select cloud platforms, services, and tools to support evolving project and mission demands.
  • Design and implement infrastructure automation using DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code).
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor on cloud architecture, integration, migration, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and present future project recommendations to senior leadership and program managers.
  • Lead large, multidisciplinary development teams in the design and delivery of complex cloud-based software systems.
  • Ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity, governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).


Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, with at least 5 years in cloud solution design and integration.
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and best practices, including automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large technical teams and drive complex architectural decisions across stakeholders.
  • Experience evaluating cloud services and performing cost-benefit and feasibility analyses.


Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or DevOps-related certifications
  • CISSP, CISM, or other security-related credentials
