Job Description
We're actively hiring skilled Low Voltage Technicians for long-term roles supporting structured cabling, BMS, controls, and fire alarm installations in large-scale data centers. This is an excellent opportunity for those with hands-on experience in critical environments who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with device installation, wiring, and terminations for BMS and environmental controls
- Work directly with BMS/controls subcontractors or leads to support the installation of temperature sensors, leak detection, humidity controls, and related devices
- Pull and terminate fire alarm cable and devices per NFPA standards
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber) throughout data center environments
- Build out full pathways, including cable trays, ladder racks, and J-hooks, with high attention to organization and detail
- Maintain quality and safety on active construction sites where uptime is critical
- Interpret and follow blueprints, riser diagrams, and detailed scopes of work
- Document work and perform walk-throughs with leads or supervisors as needed
What Were Looking For:
- Experience with major BMS and controls systems such as Honeywell, Siemens, Tridium/Niagara, Alerton, Distech controls.
- Strong ability to support controls teams with low voltage wiring for VFDs, sensors, relays, etc.
- Experience building out IDFs/MDFs and dressing cable to high standards
- Comfortable navigating job sites with other trades and adapting to shifting priorities
- OSHA 10 required.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, with a preference for greater technical expertise.
- Proficiency in fiber splicing and troubleshooting existing fiber plants.
- Proficiency in finishing work, including the installation of faceplates and device labeling.
- Experience with anaerobic (2-part epoxy) terminations.
- Proficiency with Fluke OTDR and Fluke Power meter.
- Experience in medium-level fiber network troubleshooting.
- Background in new commercial construction, tenant improvements, and remodels.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in low-voltage installations within data centers or similarly complex commercial environments, working with BMS and controls.
- Conduct structured cabling and other related cable system installations for large data center projects.
- Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit a positive and respectful attitude.
- Possess a valid driver's license, valid car insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a company-standard drug screen and background check.
- Available for 40+ hours per week.
