Key Responsibilities - Develop, grow, and manage refinery accounts—expanding relationships beyond commodity chemistry into specialty applications and value-added solutions.
- Identify, pursue, and win new customers through proven sales, marketing, and relationship-building practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to refinery customers by diagnosing operational challenges, presenting customized solutions, and leveraging Thatcher’s broad product portfolio and resources.
- Represent Thatcher Company with professionalism and integrity, demonstrating expert knowledge of our products and the advantages we bring to our refinery customers.
- Collaborate internally to uncover and expand opportunities for supplier partnerships, technical innovation, and customer value creation.
Qualifications - Proven track record of high sales performance; previous oil and gas chemical sales
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate oil and gas applications.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing new business.
- Self-starter who thrives in an independent, performance-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel to refinery sites and customer locations.
- AA/BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field.
