What You'll Be Doing:
We're seeking a WordPress Developer (Contract) to help on an existing client project currently underway. At Fresh Consulting, you will work in a dynamic work environment with a talented team, excellent benefits, and an innovative culture.

Core Responsibilities

• You will participate in the individual and team based design and development efforts on large client websites.
• You will have the opportunity to consult on client project goals (UI/UX, SEO best practices, conversion tracking, Usability, Accessibility ).
• You will be part of a team that handles multiple client and internal projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

• Experienced with PHP
• Experienced with WordPress development custom theming, gutenberg blocks, full site editing)
• Experience with Wordpress Development themes such as Sage 11 or Underscores
• Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experienced with front-end frameworks: Tailwind, Bootstrap, Shadcn
• Some experience with cross-browser, platform, and device manual/automation testing 
• Some UI / UX skill and understanding of Usability
• Some experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite.
• Demonstrated dedication to produce clean code that validates and follows industry coding style standards
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written

Desired Skills

• Basic knowledge of terminal commands
• Basic knowledge of SEO & Schema data
• Experience with optimizing website performance
• Experience with Source Code Management best practices
• Experience with Databases: MySQL, MS SQL, etc.
• Experience with React, and react frameworks like Next js 
• Experience with development tools: Bun, WebPack, Node, etc.
• Experience with third-party APIs and GraphQL

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in the areas of Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, social sciences or business/marketing or related fields. Advanced degrees are preferred such as MBA/MS

The hourly rate hiring range for this position is $50.00/hr to $80.00/hr on 1099 contract, with compensation based on location, level, knowledge, skills, and experience.
