Organic Fertilizer Sales Representative – Distributor/Dealer Sales

As demand for organics continues to grow, so does our need for expert support in the field. We are seeking a motivated sales representative to help expand our reach across distributor networks in the western United States.
Role Overview
As our Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving sales through strategic partnerships with dealers and distributors. Your deep understanding of the natural and organic products landscape, combined with your ability to build trust-based relationships, will be key to your success. As an Agronomist with a focus on organic systems, you will serve as a trusted advisor to growers, distributors, and internal teams. You will guide the best practices in organic crop production, support trials and product development, and help scale regenerative farming systems through science-based, field-tested recommendations.
Responsibilities
· Lead distributor sales efforts to meet and exceed revenue targets across assigned territories.
· Identify and onboard new distribution partners while nurturing existing relationships for long-term success.
· Conduct regular product training sessions for distributor sales teams to increase product knowledge and drive pull-through.
· Collaborate with marketing on promotional strategies and trade show planning.
· Analyze sales data to optimize account performance and uncover new opportunities.
· Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events, promoting our values and product line with confidence and authenticity.
Requirements
· 3+ years of wholesale sales experience in fertilizer or ag chem sales.
· Bachelor's degree or higher in agronomy, or other agricultural related area.
· Have personal contact with management of retail ag chem stores in California and Arizona.
· Have personal contact with organic farms.
· Proven success managing B2B sales within distributor networks.
· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-first mindset.
· Passion for organic farming, sustainable agriculture, or natural wellness industries.
· Ability to travel for distributor visits and industry events.
· Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and basic sales reporting.
Bonus Qualifications
· Background in agronomy, organic inputs, or certified organic farming operations.
· Existing relationships with key natural/organic distributors or brokers.
· Spanish language proficiency (not required but appreciated).
· Certified Crop Advisor license
· Pest Control Advisor license.
· University degree in an agricultural related field
