Summary

The job of a Warehouse Manager involves overseeing and supervising the daily operations of a warehouse. This includes managing inventory, overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring the safe and efficient storage of products.

Essential Functions

• Managing inventory levels and ordering new stock when necessary
• Planning and coordinating shipments, including receiving and dispatching goods
• Ensuring the warehouse is organized and tidy, and that products are stored safely and appropriately
• Leading and supervising a team of warehouse staff
• Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, including inventory levels, shipments, and returns
• Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Implementing best practices for warehouse management and continually looking for ways to improve processes and efficiency.
• Perform and submit quarterly physical inventories.
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Required

• High School or equivalent

• 2-4 years applicable job experience

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes

• Strong communication skills, including written communication

• High level organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet deadlines

• Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner

• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and effectively handle interpersonal relationships with others

• Excellent managerial, supervisory, and/or leadership skills. Able to develop and motivate others

• Knowledge of principles, procedures and best practices in the industry

• Ability to use a forklift
