\nRadiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
\n• Preferred experience with TrueBeam and CT Sim equipment
\n• AAS or AMA certified program required
\n• RRT license with three to five years related experience required
\n• NYS license required
\n• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
\n• Deliver radiation therapy to patients as prescribed under National Cancer Institute regulations
\n• Operate high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment including Co-60, Linear Accelerator, and Simulator
\n• Coordinate patient appointments and interpret prescriptions
\n• Take radiographic films to confirm treatment volume
\n• Perform pre-treatment duties using Simulator for tumor localization
\n• Take patient contours and collect physical factors for treatment planning
\n• Take photographs of patients for portal verification
\n• Provide safety measures for patients and recognize radiation reactions
\n• Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory policies
\n• Record and maintain treatment records and port films
\n• Participate in department in-service and educational programs
\n• Coordinate departmental and in-patient activities for proper patient care
