Job Description: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center 10580 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46290 Job Summary: • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Unit Description: Unit: Acuity adaptable Progressive Cardiac Care Number of beds on the unit: 40 Nurse to Patient ratio: variable 1:3, 1:4, 1:5 Scrub color: Royal Blue EMR is used: Sunrise Required Skills/Experience: ACLS/BLS, 1 yr exp, NIHSS, cardiac Preferred Skills/Experience: Progressive Cardiac Care Weekends: 2 weekends every 4 weeks
