Assists the patients through the process from initial consultation to the completion of the surgery.
Schedules patients for medical procedures/surgeries.
Provides patients with pre-op counseling.
Acts as the main point of contact with our Ambulatory Surgery Center and sends chart information in a timely manner.
Calls surgery center to inform of add on patients and cancellations.
Verifies all insurances and obtain authorization prior to surgery date.
Follow up as needed to ensure medical clearances are obtained by patient prior to surgery.
Ensures all patient questions are answered, and phone calls are returned.
Reviews medication regimen, consents, and surgery instructions according to NVISION protocols and forms.
Provides a warm and engaging atmosphere to instill confidence in our patients and create an exceptional experience.
Assist with clinic functions and in office procedures.
Functions as a team with the rest of the office and assist with scheduling, front desk, and other admin functions
2+ years experience as a scheduler in a medical setting (Oculoplastics preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent
