PrideStaff is seeking a Seasoned Carpenter  with considerable knowledge of the practices and procedures involved in the carpentry and building trade. This a long-term career opportunity with a growing company.

Temp-to-Hire; $17.50/hr. to start with increase after 90 days. Work a fixed schedule, at one location, with no rain-outs, this is a career position, not just a job!!

Typical Qualifications include the following:
• 3-4 years of verifiable experience. Education from a verified vocational program, apprenticeship, or Junior College may count towards experience.
• Considerable knowledge of the tools, materials and supplies used in the trade and in their application.
• Knowledge of the care and safe usage of power tools and the occupational hazards of the trade and of the proper use of safety devices and practices.
• Ability to work from sketches or blueprints.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Ability to plan, layout and perform carpentry work of average difficulty without supervision. Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to adhere to tight schedules and still maintain work quality.
• Knowledge of framing, trim, flooring.
• Cabinet, Door and Window installation experience.
• Must read, write, and speak English well.
• Good understanding of basic math.
• Be available for occasional overtime.
• Pass regular random drug testing; this is a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications include the following:
• 4-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
• Vinyl flooring and tile installation.
• All levels of trim/millwork installation including pre-finished moldings, base, and doors.
• Installation of cabinetry, cabinet hardware, custom pieces.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
