The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with a strong controllership mindset, attention to detail and organizational skills. This position will report to the Accounting Senior Manager and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) generating periodic journal entries and performing month end reconciliations as well as assisting with reporting and forecasting. A key part of this role will be providing controllership oversight to selected entities as well as own specific financial processes across the organization. The entities will rotate within the team over time providing the candidate a comprehensive overview of the entire organization. The role requires partnering with other members in the Finance Department. Responsibilities: Prepare and post month-end journal entries and accruals with appropriate documentation Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses across multiple entities Manage intercompany transactions and month-end balances across multiple entities Assist in the monthly close process and internal/external reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending improvements Collaborate with finance, operations, and global teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting Support enhancements to accounting systems, ensuring alignment with GAAP and technical accounting standards Research and interpret financial data to answer accounting and financial questions, leveraging strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of GAAP Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: ~ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred ~5+ years of related accounting experience, experience in IFRS and/or international accounting a plus ~ Knowledge of GAAP ~ Strong attention to detail and highly organized ~ ERP and financial systems experience is required ~ Proficient excel skills ~ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal ~ Ability to manage fast-paced and dynamic environment
