divh2Senior Security Control Assessor (SCA)/h2pHickam AFB, Honolulu, Hawaii (PACAF Headquarters) | Full Time | TS/SCI Eligible/ppPosition Overview/ppThe Senior Security Control Assessor (SCA) supports Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Headquarters by conducting advanced cybersecurity risk assessments, validation, and authorization activities across the Indo-Pacific theater. This position is critical to ensuring compliance with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity standards while safeguarding mission-critical information systems./ppKey Responsibilities/pulliCybersecurity Assessment Authorization (AA):/liulliExecute RMF processes for PACAF systems, ensuring compliance with DoDI 8510.01 and NIST standards./liliValidate and document technical and non-technical security controls, supporting system authorizations./li/ulliSupport to SME SCA:/liulliProvide direct analytical and technical support to the SME SCA in oversight of PACAF-wide cybersecurity authorization efforts./liliElevate findings, risks, and recommendations to the SME SCA for senior leader decision-making./liliAssist in drafting assessment methodologies, reporting templates, and theater-wide risk management strategies./li/ulliMission Assurance Risk Management:/liulliIdentify mission risks and recommend mitigations in alignment with operational priorities./liliSupport development of risk assessment models that balance mission requirements and cyber defense./li/ulliPolicy Compliance:/liulliEnsure PACAF systems maintain compliance with DoD, CNSSI, and AFMAN standards./liliSupport SME SCA in developing PACAF cybersecurity policies and directives./li/ulliTechnical Expertise:/liulliConduct in-depth analysis of system security architectures, configurations, and vulnerabilities./liliProvide recommendations to strengthen cloud adoption, zero-trust implementations, and interoperability./li/ulliTeam Leadership Mentorship:/liulliMentor junior SCAs and cybersecurity staff./liliEnsure consistent assessment quality and rigor across all assigned systems./li/ul/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliActive Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility./liliBachelors degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related discipline (Masters preferred)./lili8-10 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years in an SCA, ISSO, or ISSM role./liliStrong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, DoDI 8510.01./liliExperience preparing Security Authorization Packages (SAPs), including SSPs, SARs, and POAMs./liliCertifications: CISSP, CISM, or CAP (required)./li/ulpJob Type: Full-time/ppSalary: $140,000-$150,000/ppBenefits:/pulli401(k)/lili401(k) matching/liliDental insurance/liliHealth insurance/liliPaid time off/liliVision insurance/li/ulpSchedule:/pulli8 hour shift/liliMonday to Friday/liliOn call/li/ulpSTEELGATE LLC is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that prides itself in hiring top-level Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) proven to exceed deliverable expectations.
