Position: Senior Supervisor

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Reports to: Production Manager

Description:

The Senior Supervisor (SS) will help direct all operational aspects of a multi-million dollar vinyl window and door manufacturing business. The SS is a senior operations person responsible for helping achieve the company’s operational goals and objectives.  The SS must possess strong operations, team leadership, and structured decision-making skills coupled with a strong sense of urgency. The SS must support cost reduction efforts while balancing quality, service, and risk management.  The SS must be capable of leading all operations areas to include safety, quality, inventory management, maintenance, and production for coordinated delivery of plant objectives.  

Major Job Responsibilities:

• As part of the production management team participate in developing growth and improvement initiatives as it relates to operations.  
• Champion Continuous Improvement practices at all levels in the operations environment to guide the company into a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Make recommendations and support capital improvement projects.
• Lead full implementation of modern operations processes across all departments designed to increase company profitability. 
• Implement key performance metrics designed to support and manage operations initiatives.  
• Provide dynamic leadership to the production management team as it relates to operations.
• Manage, motivate and mentor company personnel to develop operations understanding and self-sufficiency. 
• Work collaboratively with production team and interface with other company functional areas to improve profitability and manage growth.

Education and Experience Prerequisites:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business discipline strongly preferred.
• 10-15 years operations management experience is required.
• Strong high speed manufacturing experience required.
• Continuous Improvement training and experience preferred
• Multi-shift operations experience preferred
• Vinyl Window & Door experience preferred.
• Experience using procurement, operations, and ERP software required.
