We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Labor & Employment Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for the rights of employees and has a proven track record in plaintiff-side employment law. This position will involve handling a wide range of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination, wrongful termination, and harassment cases. The successful candidate will have a strong background in trial work and be able to take a case from inception through trial.

Responsibilities

• Represent plaintiffs in all aspects of employment litigation, including class action lawsuits.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies and tactics to effectively represent clients and maximize potential for success.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Represent clients in court, including making appearances, arguing motions, participating in trial proceedings, and negotiating settlements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their employment rights and obligations.
• Stay current on developments in employment law and regularly update the team on changes that may impact our clients.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking events, seminars, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law with a focus on plaintiff-side representation.
• Proven trial experience, including first chair trial experience.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience with discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
• Commitment to advocating for the rights of employees.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
