Job Description
The Sr. Designer will develop and deliver commercial projects from conception to construction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project design leadership and manage the design development of specific commercial projects.
- Plan and execute the presentation of project designs in graphic form.
- Coordinate with principals, clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and employees with the project scope and timeline.
- Oversee the project design and ensure that the design fit with the client’s expectations
- Select all furnishings and finishes for approval by the principal-in-charge
- Maintain the project’s overall design direction and aesthetic
- Manage the delivery of the project, schedule, and budget
- Manage, train, and mentor design staff
- Oversee installation and contract administration
- Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years minimum experience in commercial interior design
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Thorough knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch-Up, Autodesk 3D, and InDesign are a plus.
- Should have the ability to travel 10-20%.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- NCIDQ certification preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Must be a team player with the ability to supervise creative and administrative talent.
