Job Description

The Sr. Designer will develop and deliver commercial projects from conception to construction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide project design leadership and manage the design development of specific commercial projects.
• Plan and execute the presentation of project designs in graphic form.
• Coordinate with principals, clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and employees with the project scope and timeline.
• Oversee the project design and ensure that the design fit with the client’s expectations
• Select all furnishings and finishes for approval by the principal-in-charge
• Maintain the project’s overall design direction and aesthetic
• Manage the delivery of the project, schedule, and budget
• Manage, train, and mentor design staff
• Oversee installation and contract administration
• Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years minimum experience in commercial interior design
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Thorough knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch-Up, Autodesk 3D, and InDesign are a plus.
• Should have the ability to travel 10-20%.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Must be a team player with the ability to supervise creative and administrative talent.
