Responsible for weighing inbound and outbound scrap trucks, customer vehicles and assuring that proper accounting has been made for all the material purchased or sold. Constant interaction with customers, truck drivers and yard management.
Duties include:
· Cashier responsibilities - handle all cash payment transactions.
· Availability for overtime and Saturday work.
· Daily Cash reporting and reconciliation
· Assist with dispatching and truck scheduling as directed by the Yard Manager.
· Create packing slips and invoice customers.
· Explain scale and yard procedures to new vendors.
· Cross training to other positions to serve as back up and assist as needed.
· Answer scale room telephone and direct calls as required.
· Following all company and OSHA safety procedures
· Perform general office duties and any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
· Maintain and update company equipment records using proprietary software.
