Role Summary The Supplemental Health G&E National Sales Director (NSD) will be responsible for driving new business sales for Supplemental Health products within the Government and Education sectors in National Accounts (employers with 3,000+ eligible). This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of Government and Education clients. Key Areas Of Expertise Include Product solutions: Accidental Injury (AI), Critical Illness (CI), and Hospital Care (HC) products, including corresponding pricing and UW strategies Enrollment solutions: Internal capabilities and external options Administrative solutions: Billing and claim processes Job Responsibilities The NSD role is responsible for proactive and consultative outreach designed to increase the institutional knowledge of Cigna Supplemental Health Solutions in the large case segment for Government & Education clients. The NSD partners with internal colleagues in distribution, marketing, product, compliance, underwriting, and other areas to deliver compelling and valuable solutions to present to our clients and broker partners. The NSD is also responsible for relationship management with external partners, including brokers and consultants (Supplemental Health specialists as well as core consulting teams) and enrollment firms. More Specifically, The NSD Role Will Drive Distribution Strategy. Develop and execute a strategy to grow AI, CI, and HC product sales within the G&E sectors in National Accounts, focusing on clients over 3000 lives. Consider broker relationships, growth strategies, competitive intel, local trends, and product strategies. Present Cigna's offerings, value proposition, and differentiation to various audiences, conduct seminars, negotiate with underwriting, and produce sales reports and forecasts. Partner with Cigna Healthcare Team. Collaborate to identify cross-sell opportunities within Medical and Dental portfolios and with new prospects. Educate clients and brokers on Cigna's offerings and expand market penetration within G&E. Collaborate with matrix partners. Serve as a liaison to improve competitiveness and drive innovation. Participate in internal meetings, provide market feedback, and support distribution strategies within G&E. Goal Attainment. Be accountable for sales goals related to Supplemental Health products. Incentive Compensation The NSD role is eligible for incentive compensation based on sales goals, internal expectations, territory management, market strategies, and collaboration with partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 10+ years of relevant experience preferred Industry experience required Proven track record of delivering results Strong analytical, strategic, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment Experience with large national accounts and government procurement is a plus Familiarity with trends in Supplemental Health Note: Internet connection must be via broadband/fiber with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds if working remotely.
