The Tampa Bay Rowdies are seeking a dynamic, collaborative and creative individual for the club’s full-time video production position. The video producer will lead and create all Rowdies video content while meeting and maintaining specified deadlines. They will report to the Director of Marketing / Communications and work closely with the other members of the Rowdies to ensure the creation of exceptional video content.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead every facet of club-owned video projects including ideation, developing production plans, gathering info from stakeholders, scheduling, filming and editing
- Lead and define short- and long-form storytelling through video content across the Club for online, social media, stadium videoboard, and advertising – work with stakeholders from every department to guide storytelling and content approaches in alignment with the Rowdies brand
- Capture footage of Rowdies matchdays and training sessions
- Shoot and edit press conferences, player interviews, highlight reels, community relations’ events, youth development, and sales and marketing activations
- Help ideate and create content that organically weaves in corporate partner messaging and objectives to create value for the sponsor, the club, and the fanbase
- Transport, set up, and operate various production equipment including cameras, audio recorders, lighting equipment and microphones for location and studio production
- Occasionally travel with the team and cover select road matches
- Maintain, ingest, log, document, archive content and various other duties
- Submit video projects for review with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with Rowdies Marketing / Communications team on overall content strategy and for annual production day
- Represent the Tampa Bay Rowdies in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in video production; undergrad experience in college athletics is accepted
- For consideration, candidate must submit a website/portfolio/reel that displays examples of previous work
- Experience with Digital Cine and DSLR camera operations
- Demonstrated experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud on Mac devices, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Familiarity with photography and ability to shoot photos when needed
- Experience with animation preferred, but not required
- Be able to prioritize by highest impact against club goals and drive focus for the content team towards what matters most
- Strong eye for detail with the ability multi-task while producing accurate, high-quality content within specified deadlines
- Willingness to work in a team environment and collaborate with variety of stakeholders to meet strategic needs
- Strong desire to create engaging, fun sports content
- Knowledge and interest in soccer is preferred, but not required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays when needed
- Great communicator, professional in presentation and able to work with multiple stakeholders and personalities
- Strong creative ability, a passion for content creation, and an outgoing personality are encouraged.
