Job Title: Private Equity Associate/Senior Associate

Location: San Mateo

Job Summary:

A leading growth equity and buyout investment firm based in San Mateo is actively seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join its team as a Private Equity Associate . The firm specializes in investing in innovative companies across cloud software, cybersecurity, and fintech. With over $1 billion in regulatory assets under management (RAUM) , the firm is currently deploying capital from its second institutional fund .

This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced senior investment professionals and gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of private equity transactions. Responsibilities include deal sourcing, evaluating new investment opportunities, financial modeling and valuation, participating in due diligence, assisting in deal execution, and working closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation post-investment.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in technology-focused investment banking , private equity, or another investment-related field.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
• Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication abilities and executive presence.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
