We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Consultant to lead strategic Oracle EPM Planning implementations across North America. In this role, you will specialize in Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), working with clients to streamline their planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes through smart, scalable, and integrated cloud solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Own Oracle Cloud EPM solution design and delivery across planning, consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting domains.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand strategic business goals, assess current-state processes, and translate them into modern, best-in-class Oracle EPM solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of Oracle EPM Cloud modules such as Planning (EPBCS), Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), and Account Reconciliation (ARCS), tailoring configurations to meet client needs.
  • Design and develop financial models, custom business rules, data forms, dashboards, and calculation scripts (including Groovy) to enable robust forecasting and reporting.
  • Conduct design workshops, gather requirements, and deliver comprehensive functional design documentation.
  • Drive end-to-end project activities including solution architecture, configuration, testing, deployment, and hyper care.
  • Integrate EPM with source ERP systems using EPM Automate, Data Management, FDMEE, and Integration Agents to ensure data accuracy and performance.
  • Provide best practice advisory on process improvement opportunities, automation, and reporting strategies using tools like Smart View and Narrative Reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including Finance, IT, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with timelines and business objectives.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including requirements, solution design, test cases, and training materials to support knowledge transfer and system sustainability.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION

Must-Have: Oracle EPM Planning (EPBCS)-Specific Skills

These are core and required for the role:

  • Minimum of 5 full-cycle Oracle Cloud EPM Planning (EPBCS) implementations.
  • Extensive experience across Planning modules, including Financials, Workforce, Capital Expenditures (CapEx), and Projects.
  • Strong expertise in designing and building driver-based planning models, data forms, dashboards, task lists, smart lists, and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in developing business rules and Groovy scripting to support complex calculations, validations, and automation.
  • Deep understanding of planning processes: budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, strategic modeling, and what-if scenarios.
  • Experience configuring data integrations using EPM Automate, Data Management, or Integration Agent.
  • Fluency with Smart View and building reports for planning and analysis.
  • Strong client-facing experience, including leading workshops, gathering planning-specific requirements, and aligning solutions to FP&A needs.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with finance users.
  • Oracle Cloud EPM Planning certification strongly preferred.

  • Experience with legacy tools such as Hyperion Planning, HFM, or Essbase.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, or advanced scripting for extensibility and automation.
  • Exposure to reporting strategy and optimization, including dynamic reporting solutions and dashboarding.
  • Understanding of data governance and master data alignment strategies using EDM or DRM.
  • Experience supporting public sector, high-tech, or manufacturing clients.
  • Oracle certifications in additional EPM modules beyond Planning.
