The Maintenance Manager needs to possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of PLC’s, drives, HMI’s and associated electronic equipment. Must be willing and able to be involved on the floor conducting maintenance/repair work if needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for overall supervision and coordination of workers activities related to the setup, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery to ensure to non-stop operation of the plant/location assigned
• Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
• Interprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environment
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
• Observe mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble
• Assist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery
• Direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
• Order parts needed for special projects, routine maintenance requirements, spare parts, tools and equipment needed
• Plan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnel

Qualification & Experience needed:

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, leading the entire maintenance function.
• Experience in a food Manufacturing environment
• Hands on experience working with, and knowledge of electrical 3-phase wiring, installation, and repair of machinery up to at least 480 volts and electronic repair highly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and evaluating PLC’s and drives is highly desirable
