Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Local Project Leader to oversee the Digital Factory support operations for Avangrid’s Customer Applications . The selected candidate will lead a local and near-shore team, ensuring smooth support and management of customer-facing applications, coordinating across business, development, and support stakeholders.

This role requires deep experience in managing complex enterprise application environments with a focus on Java/Microservices , Azure Kubernetes (AKS) , ServiceNow , and customer experience platforms such as Liferay or Angular .

Role Objectives:
  • Ensure seamless operations and support for customer-facing digital platforms.

  • Provide technical leadership and support oversight during business hours and coordinate with Wipro’s offshore team for off-hours support.

  • Lead the enhancement and troubleshooting of web and mobile applications .

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client on daily project matters .

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
  • Oversee Digital Factory support operations for customer applications.

  • Manage near-shore technical support resources , ensuring delivery alignment with project goals.

  • Conduct daily stand-ups with support teams and weekly client sync-ups .

  • Coordinate client requirements and translate them into actionable development/support items.

  • Provide regular email updates , status reports , and risk reviews .

  • Monitor and review support activities for adherence to SLA and quality metrics .

  • Maintain a feedback mechanism for continuous process improvement .

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks with mitigation strategies .

Technical & Operational Support
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution during local office hours.

  • Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure 24/7 continuity of service .

  • Troubleshoot production issues in customer-facing applications (Web/Mobile).

  • Drive enhancements in user experience and technical performance.

  • Guide improvements in system architecture and application support workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • 8+ years in IT with at least 3–5 years of leadership experience in project or support management.

  • Proven experience managing complex IT architectures and customer support platforms .

  • Hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow (Incident & Problem Management).

  • Strong understanding of Java/Microservices architectures and containerized environments using Kubernetes (Azure AKS) .

  • Experience with Enterprise IT systems involving Web Apps, Mobile Apps, and Backend APIs .

  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems such as Liferay and Angular-based frontends .

  • Good grasp of SAP integration or ecosystem awareness.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience working in utility or energy sectors (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices for managing deployments and automation.

  • Experience with monitoring tools and dashboards (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics).
