The Janitor is responsible for the general housekeeping and upkeep of the offices, plant break rooms and restrooms, and all other non-manufacturing/maintenance areas. Works under immediate supervision; relies on specific direction and instructions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities include mopping floors, vacuuming offices, dusting and wiping down desks, counters, and other surfaces in the office and break rooms, cleaning and scrubbing toilets in restrooms, cleaning and scrubbing refrigerator, microwaves, and ice machine, ensuring adequate supply of toilet paper, soap and paper towels is available in restrooms, reporting any problems or issues with equipment in restrooms and/or break rooms, maintaining adequate inventory on cleaning supplies, and performing other duties as required. Qualifications include minimum 6 months of experience in housekeeping preferred, ability to work in a safe manner, ability to follow specific instructions and directions, ability to use tools and other equipment as required, ability to pay attention to surroundings, ability to identify safety issues in their work area and notice equipment malfunctions, ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English, ability to work under immediate supervision, ability to pass a drug test, and ability to work hours mandated by management.
