Responsibilities The Hospitalist Physician is responsible for overseeing the in-patients assigned of Garnet Health. Hospitalists are responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, adult patients. The Hospitalist Physician is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Hospitalist will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of In Patient care services and for assisting in the development of programs aimed at meeting quality measures and population health management requirements. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $ 294,158 - 335,131 annually. The range or contractual rate listed may not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
