Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of eight physicians and five advanced practice clinicians at Canyon Vista Medical Center.
• Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians who bring a variety of geographic, educational, and training backgrounds to our team. Our nurse practitioners practice to the top of their scope, with support from attending physicians when needed.
• Teamwork is at the heart of our culture, with colleagues always ready to lend a hand during procedures or shift changes.
• Many team members actively participate in hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, and lead initiatives to improve patient care and update order sets.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• J1 candidates invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists, as well as our licensing and credentialing experts; all required filing fees for the visa are pai,d and services covered
• Accepting new graduates, residents, and fellows.

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling:

• 12-hour shifts
• We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.
• Full-time employment is 15 shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care in a smaller, community-based hospital with a level III trauma designation.
• Work within a multidisciplinary environment supported by 24/7 specialty coverage, including cardiology with a cath lab, general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics with spine care, neurology (with telestroke support), psychiatry (with an on-site inpatient behavioral health unit), oncology, and nephrology with dialysis capabilities in the ICU.
• Procedures are required.

Sierra Vista, located an hour southeast of Tucson and nestled among scenic mountains, offers an easy commute to Phoenix. Due to nearby Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista has a significant military and veteran population. It is renowned for its friendly and welcoming community and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
