Harvest Manager
Responsibilities:
- Supervise harvest area of the plant.
- Direct superintendents and managers to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure the plant meets productivity and yield standards.
- Lead the management team in achieving cost-efficient operations.
- Oversee the progressive disciplinary action system.
- Hire and provide ongoing training for management personnel.
- Communicate daily and long-term objectives to the management team.
- Address issues with government regulatory personnel.
- Participate in various teams as needed.
- Oversee plant department operations in the absence of department heads, including Human Resources, Maintenance, Food Safety, Slaughter, Fabrication, Rendering, Hide Processing, Transportation, Purchasing, and Industrial Safety.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of manager experience in a beef harvest plant, preferably on the harvest floor.
- Passion for learning and willingness to develop new skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience handling complex managerial situations.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
