Job Description

Secret Creative is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our studio in Akron, Ohio. This role will support the creation of compelling, strategically aligned design work across a variety of projects and mediums. Working closely with our Associate Creative Director, Art Directors, and broader creative team, the Graphic Designer will contribute to the execution of brand identities, campaigns, and content with a strong eye for craft, composition, and detail. It’s a great opportunity for an early-career designer who’s excited to learn, grow, and make thoughtful, hands-on contributions as part of a collaborative and creatively driven team.

Design Execution

  • Create thoughtful and visually compelling design solutions across a range of deliverables, including brand identities, social content, print materials, packaging, presentations, and more.
  • Apply established design systems and brand guidelines while also contributing fresh ideas and perspectives to new work.
  • Demonstrate attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, and detail to ensure the quality and consistency of design output.
  • Adapt designs to different formats and platforms while maintaining cohesion and clarity.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with Art Directors and the Associate Creative Director to support the creative process from concept through delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings, critiques, and brainstorms—offering ideas, asking questions, and responding to feedback with openness and curiosity.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project briefs, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring smooth and timely execution.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively, asking for clarity when needed and updating the team on progress.

Team Growth and Development

  • Take an active role in your own creative development by exploring new tools, techniques, and trends.
  • Seek out and integrate feedback from senior team members, seeing it as an opportunity to improve and expand your skillset.
  • Help contribute to a collaborative and inclusive studio culture that values design thinking, mutual support, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, branding, or a related creative field (internship or freelance work welcome).
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to apply design principles across a variety of mediums and formats.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; motion, illustration, copywriting, or photography skills are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, along with the ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
  • A collaborative, growth-minded attitude—you’re open to direction, eager to learn, and motivated to develop your creative voice.
  • Hybrid role with proximity to our studio in Northeast Ohio.

Secret Creative Org. is an equal-opportunity employer. We strongly support diversity in the workforce and are committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process and work environment.
