Overview Field Medical Director, Oncology, Malignant Hematology, Mid-Atlantic-MD – Pfizer Join to apply for the Field Medical Director, Oncology, Malignant Hematology, Mid-Atlantic-MD role at Pfizer . Location: Remote - Field Based (Mid-Atlantic: DE, MD, DC, VA). Travel required up to 60-80% as needed. Why Patients Need You The Oncology Field Medical Director is responsible for providing therapeutic area/product expertise for the malignant hematology therapeutic area across a broad range of Medical customer segments and initiatives in an assigned territory of DE, MD, DC, VA. What You Will Achieve Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant topics in the designated therapeutic area. Identify and engage priority customer segments in malignant hematology within the assigned territory. Provide truthful, accurate, and scientifically supported information in response to direct unsolicited medical requests from HCPs in compliance with Pfizer guidelines. Lead advisory boards with manager oversight; field relevant inbound queries from HCPs via established triage processes. Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs and Oncology Research & Development to identify potential sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials and sites serving under-represented patient populations. Provide Medical support throughout Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) processes and maintain therapeutic area expertise with current congress data and literature. Maintain effective communication with headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and other Pfizer Field Medical colleagues. Demonstrate expertise in multiple communication channels (live/virtual presentations, written communication, calls). Enhance patient centricity in Medical communications, incorporating Health Literacy and cultural awareness principles. Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership with clinical/professional associations and societies with professionalism. How You Will Achieve It Provide medical content about Pfizer medicines and topics in malignant hematology. Engage priority customer segments and respond to medical inquiries in line with policies and procedures. Lead cross-functional collaboration on research, pharmacovigilance, and trial site identification; coordinate with Global Medical Affairs and GPD as needed. Mentor onboarding partners, ad boards and study leads as appropriate; participate in special projects. Understand study design, data interpretation, and how to communicate concepts to customers. Travel 60-80% of the time; maintain proximity to an airline hub. Qualifications Must-Have MD or DO with 4+ years of relevant experience; expertise in malignant hematology is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and ability to influence across teams and external customers. Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects remotely with prioritization and good judgment in a changing environment. Ability to work in a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team; adapt to change and drive medical objectives. Strong problem-solving, networking, and leadership abilities; self-starter with accountability and urgency. Willingness to operate a Pfizer company car and travel 60-80%; comfortable with airline travel and occasional weekend work. Nice-to-Have Experience in malignant hematology (multiple myeloma and/or lymphoma) and field-based medical roles in pharma. Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to operate a Pfizer company car and travel as required for meetings and congresses. Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Flexibility to travel 60-80% of time; reasonable proximity to an airline hub; occasional weekend work. Regulatory/Benefits/Other The annual base salary for this position ranges from $219,800 to $366,400, with bonus target of 25% and eligibility for long-term incentive programs.
