The Divisional Controller – BMS will oversee the accounting and financial operations for the BMS division, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions and partnering with operations to ensure strong financial performance. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting for the BMS division. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Support compliance with accounting standards, sales tax regulations, and internal controls. Manage bank and account reconciliations, as well as timely financial close processes. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Partner with operations to resolve outstanding receivables and provide financial guidance. Review and analyze financial results, providing insights and recommendations to management. Support operations with financial reporting and analysis to improve business performance and cost control. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3+ years in a controller or management role. Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with collections, budgeting, and treasury functions. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operations and senior leadership. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Note: Vornado Realty Trust is not offering relocation for this position located in our Paramus, NJ office. The starting base salary for this New Jersey based position is expected to be between $140,000 to $170,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
