Client: A leading waste, water and energy solutions provider that recycles over 2 million tonnes of waste annually and generates 1,210 GWh of renewable electricity each year. Job Overview Responsible for day‑to‑day operations of a commercial waste depot that supplies waste and recycling solutions from routine collections to specialist disposal services across West and North Yorkshire. Key Responsibilities Oversee site operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning, and team management. Deliver safe and efficient services within budget and client standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a team, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations. Monitor performance, identify improvement areas, and implement best practices. Promote a customer‑centric culture and maximise operational KPIs. Develop and manage the site budget, ensuring efficient disposal and recycling utilisation. Provide accurate and transparent business performance reporting. Drive operational efficiencies through digital media, asset utilisation, and cost control. Analyse local market conditions, competitors, and growth opportunities. Act as Transport Manager, overseeing fleet management. Build relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and partners to enhance operations. Qualifications & Experience IOSH Managing Safely certification. Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent experience. Transport Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Financial and budget management experience. Fleet management experience. Strong understanding of waste management regulations, environmental sustainability, and disposal procedures (desirable).
