We are seeking a dedicated and reliable employee to join our team for a hybrid role. This position involves driving an office supply delivery route 2-3 days a week and performing warehouse work and assembling office furniture for the remaining days. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers, while providing exceptional customer service, and for assembling office furniture to the manufacturer's and customer's specifications. This role requires strong driving skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, furniture assembly skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling of all items.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
• Assist in training new drivers as needed, sharing best practices for safe driving and customer interaction.
• Assemble office furniture to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Warehouse work as required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver or courier is preferred.
• Possess a valid DOT card or the ability to pass a DOT physical is required. CDL is not required.
• Basic hand tools for furniture assembly.
• Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 100 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
• Experience with office furniture installation or handyman experience is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Dependable work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and reliability on the job.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
