Location: Northern Virginia The Mission: Square Peg is seeking a Data Scientist who can transform structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with customers and stakeholders to optimize business processes through data engineering and machine learning, integrating models into practical solutions. Using Databricks, a leading platform recognized in the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Database Management Systems and Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms, you'll leverage top-tier technology to tackle challenging data problems. Training in Databricks is provided for those unfamiliar with the platform, supporting your growth in AI/ML. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years experience with Python, Java, or SQL Experience designing and deploying machine learning models and applications Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement learning Strong math and statistics background, with skills to analyze data, develop models, and communicate findings effectively Knowledge of Data Science libraries such as SparkML, TensorFlow, Sci-Kit Learn Experience applying time-series, regression, clustering, and hypothesis testing to solve business problems Data cleaning skills for data science applications Qualifications: Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Apache Spark, Databricks Experience with BI tools such as Tableau Knowledge of data lakes and warehouses Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Understanding of DataOps, DevSecOps, MLOps for operationalizing models Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently About Square Peg Technologies: We are a boutique consulting firm specializing in data solutions and cutting-edge technologies in analytics, data science, and data management.
