Job Description: Class A CDL OTR Driver

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL Box Truck Driver

Position Overview

(THIS IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE ROLE. FIRST 90 DAYS AS A 1099)

The Class A CDL OTR Driver will be responsible for operating box trucks over long distances, typically covering 300 to 400 miles per day . This role requires punctuality, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-friendly demeanor. The position operates Monday through Friday , with the possibility of weekend shifts based on company needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A box truck in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Cover a daily route of 300 to 400 Miles , efficiently delivering freight to assigned locations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Utilize a manual pallet jack for loading and unloading tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and departmental policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, providing timely updates regarding deliveries and any potential delays.
• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy while interacting with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of  two years of experience driving Class A vehicles, particularly in  OTR settings.
• Proven clean driving record, with no major violations or accidents.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Strong commitment to safety, demonstrating knowledge of traffic laws and commercial driving regulations.
• Must be a team player, exhibiting flexibility and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.

Compensation

• Competitive per mile pay rate ranging from $0.49 to $0.55 , commensurate with experience. (Can discuss increase after 90 days)
