Job Summary

The CAD Department Operator is responsible for producing drawings and specifications based on information provided by customers and engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Review project files for completeness and accuracy
Determine correct canopy dimensions based on customer requirements and deck panel limitations
Produce precise project drawings with current structural, fascia, and gutter details
Use AutoCAD daily to create and modify drawings
Work efficiently under time constraints and project deadlines
Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Router-CIM, AXYZ, or Tekla Structures is a plus
Embody and uphold the company’s core values in all tasks and interactions

Secondary Responsibilities:

Stay current on brand and customer drawing standards
Continuously improve and simplify drawings, details, and manufacturing methods
Manage print jobs and maintain printing equipment as needed
Support teammates within the CAD Department and assist other departments when questions arise
Generate fabrication drawings using 3D modeling
